About The Kingwood Pops Orchestra
Welcome to the Kingwood Pops Orchestra website!! We are a civic, non-profit organization (1998) that has been devoted to bringing entertaining music to the community since 1994. Our mission is to enrich the cultural opportunities in the community through the performance of the best symphonic pops orchestral collections. We are proud to provide quality and affordable family-oriented musical entertainment to residents of and visitors to the Greater Houston area.
The Pops provides 4 themed concerts during our season (July 1-June 30) with diverse programming, guest vocalists and quality performances. We are supported by over 60 professionally diverse and dedicated volunteer orchestra members who are passionate about their music.
The Pops continues to enjoy a good relationship with Lone Star College-Kingwood and the Lake Houston Musical Arts Society. Thank you to our friends at the Kingwood campus for their support.
KPO is always looking for financial support. Thank you to our current donors and grant organizations. Some of our corporate sponsors include Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, and Phillips 66. We also appreciate all the community supporters who place ads in our programs, or make in-kind donations. You can be a friend of the Pops as well! Monetary donations are tax deductible and always welcome.
